Rowan El-Bialy (she/her) is a researcher who has studied the social determinants of wellness for various marginalized groups, including newcomers, seniors, people of colour, youth, and low-income workers. She has a particular interest in communicating knowledge for greater civic engagement and social equity. Rowan obtained her MSc in Community Health and Humanities from Memorial University, where she developed a keen love of hiking and the outdoors. She spends weekends exploring Edmonton’s river valley with her partner, Bailey, and their rescue dog, Dorothy.
