Event Description: Food is crucial to our survival, but it is also intrinsically tied to one’s emotional well-being, community inclusion, and a connection with one’s culture. Dignified food access means recognizing that everyone deserves to access quality food in a respectful way, free of stigma and judgment. For this Lunch & Learn event, we will learn about how the Multicultural Health Brokers Co-op incorporates food dignity into their services and programming that serves Edmonton’s diverse ethnocultural communities. Their work serves the immediate needs of their clients while also advocating for broad systemic changes.
