The Edmonton Social Planning Council has drawn dates at the Grand Villa Casino Edmonton, Saturday April 1 and Sunday April 2, 2017 for our biennial volunteer casino.

I am writing this note to inquire if you will consider doing some volunteer work at the Casino.

Your meals and if necessary, taxi, will be covered by the Council.

As 2017 Casino co-chair—Board member Dave Trautman is the other co-chair—I have been working to fill the 36 Volunteer positions/slots. I am pleased to report that most of the “Key Positions” have been filled, primarily by ESPC Board members, but there are lots more volunteer opportunities.

Open volunteer positions—chip runners and count room volunteers—require your name in advance, and showing up with photo ID at the Grand Villa Casino at the time of your volunteer shift(s).

Open volunteer positions requiring just the above are:
Saturday April 1:
9:30 am – 6:30 pm Chip Runner (1);
6:30 pm – 3:15 am Chip Runner (2);
11:30 pm – 3:30 am Count Room [11 pm show up if you want a meal] (6)

Sunday April 2:
9:30 am – 6:30 pm Chip Runner (1);
6:30 pm – 3:15 am Chip Runner (2);
1130 pm – 3:30 am Count Room [11 pm show up if you want a meal] (6)

We qualify for a fundraising Casino once every two years. It represents a significant portion of the ESPC budget.

Please consider volunteering.
If you have a question, give me a call or send an email.

Sincerely yours,
Doug Meggison 2017 ESPC Casino Co-Chair
