Janell Uden graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Psychology and Sociology and a Certificate in Applied Social Science Research. Her previous research experience has investigated neighbourhood revitalization, the effects of COVID-19 on people with disabilities and inequities experienced in accessing healthcare amongst African, Caribbean and Black 2SLGBTQ+ people. She is passionate about doing her part to bring awareness to structural inequalities experienced by marginalized populations and offering ways to change policy to reduce salient social issues. In her position here at ESPC, she is looking forward to providing evidence-based research to organizations to effect change.
Outside of the office, Janell can be found hiking, skating, kayaking, baking, playing basketball and piano or cuddling her cat Copper.
