Lunch & Learn: Youth Response Training – A Guide to Compassionate Interactions

Join us in our series of free lunchtime talks about social issues and learn about diverse ways to help create a community in which all people are full and valued participants!

When: Wednesday, September 14, 2022, @ noon!

Speakers: Jennifer Vogl, Community Engagement Specialist, MAPS and Hannah Weir, Youth Liaison, Neighbourhood Empowerment Team

The Southeast Edmonton Youth Allies Collaborative (SEYAC) has created training to help community businesses and organizations learn more positive ways of responding to others and ways of responding more effectively to perceived problematic youth behaviors. This training was developed in alignment with the Action Alliance for Youth Inclusion (AAYI) YEG Youth Access Guidelines (YEG YAG). The Youth Response Training is intended to support the community in being safe and inclusive for everyone. This Lunch and Learn event will provide a general overview of SEYAC’s training.

If you would like to be more involved, please consider a membershipdonation or becoming a volunteer.

We’re also pleased to open up our Lunch and Learn sessions to other non-profits as a way of introducing agencies and their incredible programs and services to other community members.
